Barbecued Balogna Roll
1 4 pound whole bologna roll
whole cloves
1/2 cup chili sauce
1 Tbs prepared horseradish
2 Tbs lemon juice
1 tsp barbecue spice
1/2 tsp dried mustard
Score the balogna by cutting diagonal lines 1/8 inch deep to from a
diamond pattern. Stud each diamond with a whole clove. Insert balogna
on a spit rod through center of roll and cook 5 inches from coals
basting frequently with sauce made from the above ingredients. Takes
about 30 minutes to be heated through.Remove from rod and slice and
serve. serves 10 to 12. Accompany with things such as diet pills, potato salad,
baked beans etc.
